Graeco-Thracian gold pectoral (chest ornament). Early 5th century BC. 5.5cm x 11.5cm. Diamond-shaped gold sheet with embossed decoration in the form of a large rosette in a double circle with a dotted rim, volutes and palmettes on the sides. Gold! Small tears to the rim and small losses to the narrow sides, mounted on a plexiglass stand. Provenance: Ex private property G. S., Lower Saxony, in family possession since 1966.
