Pair of gold earrings with garnets and garnet. Parthian, 2nd - 4th century AD. 12.08g, l 5.5cm. Hoop earring with hinged clasp. With a sculpted half-arch, richly decorated with garnet and two drop-shaped, set garnet stones and a grape-like projection. Gold! Half-bow somewhat crushed. Provenance: Ex collection Dr. Klaus Marquardt, North Rhine-Westphalia, 1980s to 2009.
