Turquoise faience ushabti of Pa-ef-Iwoe, son of Sjep-en-Aset. Late period, 26th Dynasty, 664 - 525 BC H 8cm. The inscription gives the name Pefju, son of the lady of the house Shepenese. Rare form without pillars and with surrounding inscription! Cf. parallel pieces in the Louvre, Paris, Numéro principal E 20261 and E 20139. They come from the same tomb from the same owner and were purchased in 1948. Intact. Provenance: Ex Gorny & Mosch 296, 2023, lot 215; from the German private collection J. F.; in Germany since 2021; previously in a French private collection, acquired before 1960.
