Cuneiform clay tablet. Mesopotamia, Hana, 17th - 16th century BC. 10.4 x 7.2 x 3.3 cm. Made of light beige clay. Cuneiform inscription on the front and back in (Middle) Assyrian script, clearly legible. Scroll seal depiction on the narrow side points to the period 1600 - 1400 B.C. It is a land purchase deed from Hana/Terqa. At the time of publication, the most recent and only example of this type of document written and dated in Assyrian. Published! Published in: H. M.
