Collection of bronze cosmetic wands. Bactria, 1st millennium B.C. Fully cast bronze, with a round rod, thickened like a flask at the bottom and a crown in the shape of an animal at the top: a) L 17.5. An ibex at the top. Intact. b) L 16cm. An ibex at the top. Tip of one horn missing. c) L 13.2cm. An ibex protome at the top. Intact. d) L 13.5cm. Above a goat's head with neck decorated in cold work. Intact. e) L 11.5cm. Above a ram's head. Intact. f) L 12.5cm. Above an ibex head. Intact. g) L 11cm. Above a ram's head. Intact. h) L 9cm. Above a ram's head. Intact. i) L 13.5cm. Two symmetrically joined goat forequarters at the top. One horn broken off. j) L 13cm. Above a bird with spread wings. Intact. k) L 14.7cm. Above with a hand holding a fruit (pomegranate?) with thumb and forefinger. Intact. 11 pieces!
