Coptic fabric with dancer. ca. 6th century AD. ø 6cm, frame ø 18cm. Small medallion with a dancing, naked figure with a waving cloak and a cornucopia in his right hand. Perhaps a personification of summer. Fragmentary, framed. Provenance: Ex collection Walter Fürstweger, Munich (1928 - 2015). Acquired in the art trade in the 1970s and early 1980s.
