Stirrup vessel in the form of a guanabana from the Cupisnique culture. ca. 800 - 500 BC. H 20.5 cm, B at the handle 12.6 cm. Dark gray to black clay. The surface is reminiscent of the structure of a ripe guanabana fruit (spiked cannon). Tiny chip at the mouth, otherwise intact. Provenance: From the E. H. Collection, Munich, since the mid-1990s.
