Pipe in the shape of a nude woman. Vicus, 100 BC - 300 AD. H 22cm. Red clay with red coating. The seated figure stretches her arms upwards. The belly is sunken, the ribs protruding. With TL certificate! Published in: Seifert, Frauen no. 109; Steinle, Fruchtbarkeit no. 61. According to Seifert, the figure is possibly an initiate who fasted for a long time before the shamanistic ritual. Minor superficial cracks in the coating, whistle function intact. Provenance: Ex collection U.H. since 1982.
