Large Neolithic Bi disc. late Liangzhu culture, ca. 3300 - 2300 BC. ø 27 cm. Brownish nephrite jade with light brown and white-gray spots and inclusions, polished. Ritual, flat disc with a smooth surface on both sides, central, conically cut opening in the middle. Three engraved abstract signs / symbols placed symmetrically around the opening. Different grain on the front and back. Good condition with minor chips to the rim and small superficial cracks. Provenance: Ex collection R.K., North Rhine-Westphalia, before 1980.
