A pair of Dong Son bells with beautiful patina. Dong Son culture, ca. 3rd to 1st century B.C. H 18 cm and 17.2 cm. Two medium-sized cast bronze bells with green-turquoise patina. Tall, narrow bodies with rounded tips, flared sides, crowned by two zoomorphic, horn-like tips, each with two opposing long, rectangular cut-outs at the top, raised horizontal and vertical ribs. Traditionally without clapper. 2 pieces! Both in very good condition. Minimal knocks. Provenance: Ex collection J.H., Munich, acquired late 1990s until before 2004.
