Standing female figure hamba. Chokwe, Angola. H 23.3 cm, with bent knees, freely carved arms, the hands resting on the body, narrow eyes and a narrow mouth; around the neck a necklace of indigo blue glass beads. Brown-black, matt patina, minimally bumped, otherwise intact. Provenance: ex Peter Loebarth, Hameln (acquired in the 1980s); ex Fred Jahn 1999; ex Rainer Linnhoff, Munich-Pullach; ex Zemanek-Münster, auction 87, Würzburg 11.11.2017, lot 487.
