Contemporary bradel gray taupe half-percaline with corners, marbled paper boards, red title page on spine, covers on boards (some rubbing). Counterfeit reproducing line by line the edition given by Auguste Brancart (Brux., [1883]), printed on Olyrood watermarked laid paper with a different typeface and decorated with the 6 etchings by F[rédillo], printed on japon, which sometimes accompany one of the two first editions (cf. previous lot). Frédillo (or Fredillo) was the pseudonym of French artist Louis-Alfred Boisserand (1855-1924), who clandestinely produced numerous erotic illustrations a.o. for Brancart.
