(slight soiling to title). 19th c. crushed red half-chagrin with corners, marbled paper boards set with a double gilt fillet, gilt ribbed spine, gilt t. (some minor rubbing). Fine untrimmed copy. Second edition (orig. under the title "Ma conversion": London, 1783), decorated with a front. (different from the one described by Pia, which is dated 1783 in Roman numerals) and 7 unsigned free plates. Dedicated to "Monsieur Satan". Text framed by an ornate typographic double fillet.
