Seutter [c. 1740] Engr. hand-colored, mounted on 3 pieces of cloth, each c. 72 x 49,5 cm (sm. scratch in blue ink, few spots, some light soiling in upper part, few sm. tears in cloth not affecting map). In marbled paper box (rubbed). Large wall map printed on 24 separate sheets (here assembled on 3 fold. pieces of cloth for easy transportation) with 4 richly decorated ornaments: 2 cartouches, one with the title and one with various scales, a large windrose and Neptune riding on the Channel. Prov. Adolphe Borgnet (1804-1875), Belgian historian and law professor (bookpl. on box with mention "Les historiens sont le vray gibbier de mon estude").
