Petrus Montanus updated the French text by François de Belleforest (1530-1583) for the Cornelis Claesz. 1609 edition. Jansz used the same text as the Dutch Blaeu ed. of 1612 which includes these adaptations. Engr. ill. (complete): title, 1 pl. with coats of arms and 103 maps (on 102 ff.) reprinted from Jansz' Latin 1616 ed. by P. de Keere, incl. maps and town plans of Belgium, the Netherlands and Northern France.
