First edition. Illustrated with lithographs on tinted background: title and 31 plates (17 for China incl. frontispiece, 14 for India), 2 fold. maps and numerous woodcut in-text illustrations. Julia Corner (1798-1875), also known as Miss Corner, was a British children's educational writer.
