Very rare Plantin Press ed. by the Parisian publisher Adrien Périer, second husband of Chr. Plantin's daughter Magdalena. The French jurist Du Moulin (1500-1566) was an authority in Roman, canon and customary law, being called "the French Papinian". He was a bitter enemy of feudalism. The present work (1st 1552) deals with the application of the rules of the Cancellaria Romana in France, i.e. the administration of affairs pertaining to the pope and the college of cardinals.
