Included in the archives of the Rodin Committee for the publication of the Catalogue Critique de l'Œuvre Sculpté de Auguste Rodin in preparation at Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay, under number 2024-7160B. A letter from François Lorenceau and Jérôme Le Blay for the Rodin Committee, dated March 15, 2024, will be given to the buyer. A group conceived before 1889, this plaster print, obtained by stamping, was executed between 1892 and 1899. This plaster was used to produce the sand-cast bronze, which was sold at the Georges Haviland collection sale on June 2-3, 1932 and is now in a private collection. Another bronze example (S. 1145), cast for the Museum's collections by Alexis Rudier in 1927, is in the collections of the Musée Rodin in Paris.
