Set of two issues of Cahiers de L'Herne (nos. 3 and 5) devoted to Céline, published shortly after his death, featuring studies, personal accounts and largely unpublished texts by the author. There are also several photographic reproductions.
These two copies are among the 100 on esparto, numbered 62 and 65 respectively. The first is complete with the 4 original lithographs that accompany this first edition, including :
- a two-color lithograph by GEN PAUL (portrait of Céline in 1934),
- a 3-color lithograph by Karel APPEL, a kind of double-page portrait,
- a black lithograph by Henri MAHÉ for an illustration of Voyage au bout de la nuit,
- a black lithograph by DELFAU depicting an abstract composition.
Very well preserved, largely uncut copies.
