Edition illustrated with 23 color compositions drawn by Auguste LEROUX (1871-1054), including 8 hors texte, engraved by Georges Beltrand, Charles Clément, A. and Paul Baudier.
One of the first 25 copies on large japon impérial (no. 8), containing an original watercolor signed by the artist, 5 states of the hors-texts, 4 states of the title vignette, headpieces and culs-de-lampe, and the color decomposition of a hors-texte (here that of the frontispiece). The justification erroneously states "five states of illustrations".
