Five volumes in five volumes in-12 (6 ff, 408 pp, 11 plates // 418 pp, 3 ff, 5 plates // 4 ff, 400 pp, 8 plates // 4 ff, 456 pp, 8 plates // 4 ff, 501 pp, 3 pp, 8 plates), full tan calf, finely decorated ribbed spines (period binding), headbands worn and corners dulled.
Volume V, dated 1699, bears the Elzevir "sphere".
A sixth volume appeared in 1715, but is rarely found lacking; indeed, Palau (52712) reports only four volumes. The fifth contains the continuation of Filleau de Saint-Martin; the sixth the end.
This edition is illustrated with five frontispieces signed H. Cause (?) and forty unsigned plates.
