A fine copy. First edition of the translation by H. Bouchon Dubournial, a former French engineer and former first professor at the Spanish Military Academy. Despite the title Œuvres choisies, this is his complete new translation of Don Quixote, which was to be followed by Les Nouvelles, Persiles and other works. This edition is illustrated with a portrait of the author and fifteen plates drawn by Duchaulchoy and engraved by Simon, Benoist, Marchand, Marye and Dien.
