Four volumes in four volumes in-8, cherry half-calf with corners, finely decorated spines, mottled edges (period binding). A fine copy, despite the usual brown spots. XLI, 461 pp. // 529 pp. // 570 pp. // 598 pp. New, revised and corrected edition, illustrated with twelve engravings (by Horace Vernet) and a map of the voyage. A typical example of a text in which the author's name has been erased by the author's character. Cervantes does not appear on the title page!
