Large box in red tortoiseshell marquetry and engraved bone plaques with compartmentalized decoration depicting winged chimeras, Venus surrounded by winged loves and their bows, mascarons, warriors armed with spears, hunters with dogs.
The interior is also inlaid with plaques and geometric motifs.
Chased gilded brass hinges and handles; eagle claw feet encircling balls.
