Fascinated from a young age by the idea of travelling and the art and culture of the Orient, he studied Arabic and Persian while in the meantime he developed an interest for writing and poetry. Some of his “talking carpets” have been included in important events such as those held at Tappeti Contemporanei in Milan, Pitti Living in Florence, Galerie En Attendant les Barbares in Parigi, Aspectos in Barcellona, and Art to use in Francoforte, just to name a few. He has collaborated with famous architects and fashion designers: Moschino and Romeo Gigli, among the others. At the same time, well-known international design magazines in Italy and abroad, such as Elle Décor, Casa Vogue, AD and Halı have dedicated some articles to him celebrating the originality and innovation of his designer carpets.‘The sun rises, the salt of life’. Few yellow leaves are scattered on the ground, and only one blue flower is added. The carpet shows a perfect blend of experimental and innovative design combined with a sort of nostalgia for the ancient techniques of weaving and the fascination for the written word. Provenance: the artist.
