Considered not unjustly one of the greatest portrait painters of the century, but also a pioneer of modern photography thanks to a studio where work was carried out as in a small industry, Nadar had conceived a style that involved going beyond superficiality to obtain portraits that reflected the personality and taste of those who, in front of his lens, were to become not objects but subjects. In the work proposed here, the way of embellishing the portrait and making it unique through platinum printing is also remarkable.
