PARIS - [Parc Monceau]. 19th century. Pencil drawing on wove paper, heightened with white gouache. Annotated lower right: "do not put the figures in the foreground". Preparatory drawing for the lithograph "Parc Monceau", published in "Paris dans sa splendeur", Paris, Charpentier in 1861. Provenance: Fonds of the Charpentier workshop run by Pierre-Henri (1788-1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806-1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 24.8 x 36 cm. Condition A (good state of preservation).
