A ROCK CRYSTAL FIGURE OF A MONK, 18TH CENTURY
China. Well carved seated in a relaxed pose, dressed in loose-fitting robes with wide sleeves, his round face with a calm expression and gentle smile, pierced below the left arm for suspension as a pendant.
Provenance: From a private collection in the United Kingdom, by repute acquired in 1994.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, light nibbling, and few small chips to exposed areas. The stone with natural fissures, some of which have developed into fine hairline cracks.
