AN APPLE GREEN JADEITE SNUFF BOTTLE, QING DYNASTY Expert’s note: Bottles from this group remain highly desirable, especially when the color is as even and striking as in the present example. China, 1780-1880. Of slightly bulbous ovoid form, rising from an oval foot to a sprawling neck with a slated lip and flat top, the intense apple green stone with shades of crystalline white, some russet inclusions near the neck, and a small russet vein near the foot. Provenance: American private collection. Condition: Excellent condition with some surface wear.
