A VERY LARGE CARVED AMBER SNUFF BOTTLE, QING DYNASTY China, 1760-1850. Of compressed baluster form, supported on a lipped foot, rising to rounded shoulders with a bold neck and flattened rim. The shoulders carved with mock-ring handles in the form of lion heads. The green glass stopper in imitation of emerald with a bronze collar. Provenance: Parisian private estate. Condition: Good condition with wear, natural flaws, small nicks, some fissures, small scratches, and minor nibbling to the mouth and rim of the foot.
