A VIETNAMESE SHOULDER BASKET, GIE
Vietnam, 19th century. Standing on a square base made of wood, woven together with four vertical braces terminating at the shoulder which curves inward to a slender neck topped by a circular cover with concave sides. Three horizontal ties intended for shoulder supports are strung across three of the vertical braces.
Condition: Good condition with wear, signs of use, minor losses, and expected warping.
Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
