A magnificent georgian diamond and green helidor brooch
Probably England, early 19th century.
ca. 3,25/4,28 cm
Crafted in 585/000 yellow gold on the underside - tested - and silver, the brooch is rectangular and set with 40 old-cut diamonds ca. 9.50 ct. H-J/SI-P as well as 4 small diamond roses, in the center a green helidor (beryl) in rectangular cut ca.10,00 ct. is set in yellow gold. Weight 27.2 g. Restored.
