Jean Baptiste Boulard (b. circa 1725 - d. 1789 and
master 1755) was one of the most important chair
of his time.
By 1777, his work for the Garde Meuble de la Couronne
ensured him regular royal commissions.

Under Louis XV, Boulard's style was characterized by
