Silver CONFITURIER. PARIS, Antoine HIENCE , 1798-1809. Triangular base resting on three ball feet, doe-footed uprights openworked with wheat ear interlacing and ending in a female mask topped with a ribbon bow. Structure circles adorned with palmettes friezes on a guilloché background, the upper circle openworked for spoons. Lid surmounted by a projecting, gadrooned knob topped by a bird. Plain silver inner lining, small edge crack, twelve jam spoons missing, crystal interior missing, grip possibly transformed, lid slightly deformed. Height 25.5 cm; width 14 cm; weight 551 g.
