EVANS EDITH: (1888-1976) English actress, an Academy Award nominee. A good vintage signed 8 x 10 photograph of Evans in a close-up portrait pose in costume as the impoverished, elderly and eccentric Margaret Ross from the British drama film The Whisperers (1967). Signed by the actress in blue ink with her name alone to a largely lighter area at the base of the image. It was for her performance in this role that Evans was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar. VG
