FIELDS W. C.: (1880-1946) American film comedian. A good vintage signed and inscribed sepia 8 x 10 photograph of Fields standing outdoors in a full-length pose on a garden path, and holding his hat in one hand. Signed in dark fountain pen ink to a largely light area at the head of the image, 'To Straus Junior High School, with sincere best wishes, W. C. Fields'. About EX A popular perception existed during Fields' lifetime that he hated children (and dogs) although in reality he was fond of entertaining the children of friends who visited him.
