René LALIQUE (1860-1945). Double-sided circular pill box in patinated molded-pressed white glass, decorated in an oval with turtledoves in a frame of garlands of flowers. The rims are adorned with four protrusions forming a catch for the opening. The interiors in gilded silver. Diameter : 5 cm. H. 2.5 cm. (chips on the side opening grips). Note: To be compared with the "Fontenay" model created in 1910, reproduced on page 224 of the R.LALIQUE Catalogue Raisonné de l'Oeuvre de Verre by Félix Marcilhac, Éditions de l'Amateur, under number 7. Perhaps the model "Boite à dragées coeur filigrané deux pigeons" created on June 1, 1936, unlocated and listed among the pieces not classified as letter N on page 222 of the aforementioned work.
