Important pair of gilt and patinated bronze andirons decorated with a roaring recumbent lion. The base is rectangular in cross-section, with rounded springs, and decorated with an applied trophy crowned with flowers, a club, a winged scepter, a snake and a ribbon bow. The whole resting on four fluted and fluted topped legs with foliage.
