- The Jolika collection of Marcia & John Friede. Rye, New-York
Collected in the village of Aibigahe on the island of Urama on April 26, 1966 by T.S. Westrum (G442), who notes that in this region this charm is called Mari. The name Marupai is only used in the Purari delta
delta and among the Elema. This incised nut has the particularity of retaining its braided bag, called an okaoka, from which only the Mari's "mouth" protrudes.
