Imposing potpourri lidded vase on pedestal, Meissen, w. 18th century, 1st choice, designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler (1706 Dresden - 1775 Meissen) c. 1760, model no. B6, potpourri with cupids, double-bodied body, richly decorated with flower garlands, a seated putto at the foot, a floating putto with flower on the body, pierced cover with flower pyramid, polychrome painted and ornamentally gilded, gallant rococo group on the front, flower bouquet on the back, slightly bumped and restored in places, h. 75 cm, ref.: Bergmann, Meissen Figuren 1-3000, p. 706, cat. no, 2745, matching pedestal on four volute feet, also polychrome painted with birds on branches and ornamental gilding, volute feet set with sculpted flowers, 30 x 30 cm, overall h. 86 cm
