Le Fils Prodigue (The Prodigal Son), inspired by a parable from the Gospel of St. Luke, is a ballet by Serge
Diaghilev, set to music by Serge Prokofiev and choreographed by Georges Balanchine.
It was presented at the Théâtre Sarah Bernhard in Paris on May 21, 29, 31 and June 4, 6 and 12, 1929.
Georges Rouault is responsible for the sets and costumes. This would be Diaghilev's
Diaghilev's last creation for the Ballets Russes.
