Memo: Chapko was born in 1945 in Sverdlosvsk (now Ekaterinburg, Russia).
In 1959, he graduated from the School of Fine Arts. Then became a student of Professor A.D.Goncharov at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, from which he graduated.
Since 1985, he has been a member of the Moscow Union of Painters.
