A comparable pair of chests of drawers also attributed to Charles Mellier, but of a less lavish design, in counterpart rather than first part, the corner bronzes adorned with simple mascarons in place of the busts of winged women common to the entire upright, was sold in Monaco, October 27, 2023, lot 182.
