Renaissance ARMOIRE with seven ringed columns. 1669
Composed of three parts (base, body and entablature), it is inlaid with geometrical motifs all along the front, opens to two casements pierced with windows, two of which are ringed columns resting on a base supporting the cornice. Decorated under and over the window with carvings of cherubs' heads in foliage, reflecting the Baroque influence. The pedestal is composed of two drawers, with a cartouche in the center indicating the date of the work (1669). The wood species used are walnut, maple, plum and oak, mainly in corrugated sections. Note the fine hardware and locks, as well as the forged, stamped interior hinges. 1 key.
