As early as 1905, the model of this Liseuse, a theme dear to Aimé-Jules Dalou, was produced in bronze from the plaster cast of one of the two original terracottas, according to the contract drawn up between the founder Susse Frères and the sculptor's heirs. Posthumous prints, in marble and ceramic, were also produced by the Manufacture de Sèvres.
