Émilie Maliver trained with Laurent Marqueste at the École des Beaux-Arts from 1907 before joining Émile-Antoine Bourdelle's studio at La Grande Chaumière between 1919 and 1920. The study of the nude and maternity is at the heart of her production. In 1925, she became an art teacher in Nice.
