Pierre-Félix Fix-Masseau trained at the École des Beaux-arts de Lyon and then, thanks to a scholarship, in Paris at Gabriel Jules Thomas's studio. In 1890, he made his debut at the Paris Salon. But it was at the Salon de la Société nationale des Beaux-arts de Lyon in 1894 that he received praise and support from public figures for his ivory and mahogany statuette entitled Le Secret. Pierre-Félix Fix-Masseau mainly produced sculptures and objects in the Art Nouveau style, and exhibited at the first Salon de l'Art Nouveau at Siegfried Bing's gallery.
