Wall-mounted cartel and base in "Boulle" marquetry of tortoiseshell or tinted horn on a copper base, decorated with stylized branches; rich ormolu decoration in chased rocaille bronze, including crosses, foliage and a top ewer; the dial with twelve enameled cartouches indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in increments of five in Arabic numerals on the outer rim with two polished-blue steel hands. The movement (reported) is signed "Villard à Paris" and numbered "2362".
