Tapestry illustrating La diseuse de bonne aventure in a rural setting, in the taste of David Téniers II (1610-1690) MORE PROBABLY AUBUSSON
18th century.
The cartoons for these "Ténières" scenes are attributed to the Flemish painter De Hondt. These highly successful subjects were woven by numerous workshops in Brussels, Lille and Beauvais.

Fragment, wool and silk, 19th-century border added, fairly good condition due to numerous old restorations.
