J. H. [Benjamin PÉRET, attributed to.] La Vie d'une sainte. Civilités [Eric Losfeld, mid-1950s]. In-8 of 40 ff, cover, slightly yellowed, printed in black with the text in the center of a cross printed in green. "First edition of this superb surrealist and anticlerical text. Patrick Keamey pointed out to me a handwritten note that Geshon Legman, the author of The Horn Book, wrote on her copy: "Aline G. told me the author was her fellow surrealistoccultist Benjamin Péret, a wholly mad anti-religionist". This confession was made by Aline Gagnaire (1911-1997), who was part of the Surrealist generation during the Occupation, with the "Réverbères" and "La Main à Plume" groups. She was close to Péret. This work comes from the same press as Petites et Grandes Filles and Croisière Voluptueuse published by this publisher. First published on March 15, 1961." Bibliography: Dutel 2615.
